Senior Finance Director, Product Innovation
Would you like to join a growing medical device company and help shape the future of healthcare? In this exciting, high-impact role, the Senior Finance Director will provide financial leadership and strategic insights for the Product Innovation Organization. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will serve as the primary business partner to the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Product Innovation and the Product Innovation Leadership Team. This team represents R&D Engineering, Clinical, Regulatory, and Operations, working collaboratively to advance and execute critical priorities.
Location:
This role is based in the Los Angeles area and requires onsite presence at least three days per week. This on-site presence is crucial to fostering collaboration and maintaining a strong connection with our team and the workplace environment.
Compensation: $200k-$300K base salary plus discretionary bonus
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Financial Leadership: Collaborate with the SVP of Innovation to develop and implement financial strategies that support innovation initiatives. Act as a trusted partner by providing sound financial counsel, challenging business assumptions, and driving fact-based decision-making to enable revenue and operating income growth.
- Budgeting and Resource Allocation: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling processes to ensure the strategic allocation of resources for innovation projects. Lead the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and quarterly forecast process, aligning financial funding with business strategy and expected returns.
- Financial Analysis and Insights: Deliver in-depth financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making. Leverage advanced analytics and data visualization to provide actionable business insights that drive growth and foster innovation.
- Risk and Opportunity Management: Identify and manage financial risks and opportunities associated with innovation projects. Develop strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities, ensuring financial health and sustainability.
- Performance Management and Reporting: Manage all aspects of financial decision-making, performance, and reporting. Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports and strategic insights to senior leadership, including the CFO and SVP of Innovation.
- Business Excellence and Innovation: Drive business excellence by championing innovation and developing a financial framework that supports global transformation efforts. Conceptualize and develop innovative approaches to programs, products, and services.
- Team Leadership and Development: Optimize team performance and foster cross-functional partnerships. Empower the team with meaningful decision-making and ownership, creating a culture of continuous learning and development. Encourage diverse perspectives and focus on continuous improvement and quality outcomes.
Must-Have Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with 15+ years of work experience in Finance and/or Accounting (or Advanced Degree with 13+ years of work experience)
- 10+ years of managerial experience
