About the Company
Our client is an established, fast-growing contract manufacturer with more than 30 years in business and about 400 employees. They produce personal care, cosmetic, household, and specialty products for many of the most recognized national brands, managing more than 2,000 active SKUs. The company has doubled in size over the past four years, and new investment is fueling its next stage of growth. Through it all, it has kept a family-oriented culture where leadership is accessible and strong performers grow with the business.
The Role
The Account Coordinator supports the Contract Packaging sales team as the day-to-day point of contact for a set of brand customers. You’ll own orders from purchase order through shipment and work hands-on with production, the warehouse, and shipping so every delivery date is met. This is a fast-paced, high-volume, hands-on role. It’s a great fit for someone who thrives on juggling many SKUs and moving parts, and it’s not a traditional corporate desk job.
What You’ll Do
- Own customer orders end to end: entry, confirmation, tracking, and expediting
- Act as the liaison between brand customers and the plant, monitoring materials, components, and production runs to protect delivery dates
- Communicate proactively when schedules change, so customers hear about it from you first
- Coordinate daily shipments with the warehouse and carriers
- Prepare customer reports, including open order, status, and inventory reports
- Support the sales team with order entry, follow-ups, and sample coordination
- Join customer visits with sales leadership and attend trade shows as needed
What You Bring
- Required: 2+ years of experience in contract manufacturing, contract packaging, co-packing, OEM, or private label
- Experience managing a high volume of SKUs and orders, ideally in personal care, cosmetics, household, food, beverage, or nutraceuticals
- Proven ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Experience working directly with production and planning teams on delivery dates
- Strong Excel skills and ERP experience (SAP, JDE, Oracle, or similar)
- Clear, proactive written and verbal communication
- A bachelor’s degree, or an associate degree with 2+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Work Environment
This role is primarily office-based, with regular time on the production floor and in the warehouse, where safety and dress requirements apply. You may occasionally be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and some chemicals.
