Position Summary:
A growing commercial construction firm is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead renovation, tenant-improvement, and ground-up projects across multiple states. This role oversees projects from preconstruction through close-out, ensuring delivery on schedule, within budget, and aligned with high standards of quality and safety.
The ideal candidate is a proactive and organized construction professional who can manage multiple projects while coordinating closely with superintendents, subcontractors, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full lifecycle of renovation, tenant improvement, and ground-up construction projects
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost controls
- Supervise site superintendents and support project engineers
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers across multiple job sites
- Review drawings, specifications, and scopes of work to ensure project accuracy and constructability
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and subcontract agreements
- Lead project meetings and maintain strong communication with clients, architects, and internal teams
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety standards, and quality expectations
- Oversee project close-out including punch lists and final documentation
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of construction project management experience
- Experience managing ground-up and residential or commercial renovation projects
- Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, budgeting, and cost management
- Proficiency with Procore and Microsoft Project preferred
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and travel periodically as needed
