Process Integration Engineer (ITL)
San Diego / Riverside, CA

Salary: $100,000 - $200,000

About the Role
Our client, a fast-scaling semiconductor technology company in the high-speed communications space, is seeking a Process Integration Engineer to help mature state-of-the-art devices from development into full production. This role centers on building repeatable, high-yield manufacturing processes for highly specialized photonic and semiconductor devices.

What You'll Do

  • Build and drive integration plans and schedules across established manufacturing tools and process flows
  • Own the interactions between major process modules (etch, films, litho, and others) within an integrated flow
  • Correlate final device performance to inline factory measurements, metrics, and process steps, then turn that data into reports and improvement proposals
  • Partner closely with Operations and Process Development teams to keep programs on track
  • Hold internal and external partners accountable to milestones and clear technical roadblocks
  • Analyze metrology results and disposition lots against defined pass/fail criteria

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Semiconductor Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related field
  • Broad, hands-on experience across dielectric and metal deposition, CMP, dry-etch, wet-etch, and photolithography
  • Working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and statistical tools
  • Integration engineering experience in advanced semiconductor or MEMS process development (highly desired)
  • Strong technical writing and data analysis skills
  • Comfort operating in a dynamic, fast-moving startup environment

Nice to Have

  • Expertise across Front End (FEOL), Back End (BEOL), MEMS, photonics, or novel device integration
  • Familiarity with device physics and process/device simulation
  • Depth in photolithography, dry/wet-etch, deposition, thin films, CMP, and metrology

Work Environment
Primarily an open, temperature-controlled office setting with regular time in a manufacturing or cleanroom environment (gowning required). The role is largely sedentary but may involve occasional lifting, pushing, or pulling of items over 10 lbs, plus daily use of standard office and characterization equipment.

Work Authorization
This position operates under International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must qualify as a "U.S. person" as defined by ITAR — a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident (green card holder), political asylee, or refugee.

Benefits
Benefits include medical, dental, and vision, 401(k), company-paid life and disability insurance, paid holidays and vacation, and gym membership discounts.
