HR Generalist
Job Title: HR Generalist (Temp-to-Hire, Bilingual Preferred)
Location: Corona, CA (Hybrid – Occasional Onsite Required)
Position Overview
A growing warehouse solutions company based in Corona, CA is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Generalist to support day-to-day HR operations and ongoing process improvements. This role is ideal for a bilingual HR professional with a strong generalist background who is interested in growing into an HR Manager role over time. This is a temp-to-hire position, starting part-time with potential to move into full-time.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate full-cycle recruitment and onboarding, including job postings, background checks, and orientation.
Improve onboarding experience through streamlined processes, documentation, and employee surveys.
Support compliance with California wage and hour laws, including break policies and timekeeping audits.
Serve as the point of contact for HR inquiries, employee relations, and policy clarifications.
Assist with benefits administration, including enrollments, terminations, and reconciliations.
Partner with payroll and finance to review payroll drafts, set up new payroll accounts, and ensure accuracy.
Organize and maintain digital employee files; help clean up folder structures and document tracking.
Utilize and improve HRIS functionality (Paycor) – particularly connecting Recruiting and Core modules.
Foster communication and trust with Spanish-speaking warehouse employees.
Requirements
3+ years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar role.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) – required for day-to-day communication with warehouse staff.
Solid knowledge of California labor laws and HR compliance best practices.
Hands-on experience with HRIS systems – Paycor strongly preferred.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
High attention to detail with the ability to multitask across various HR functions.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with leadership and external consultants.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in warehouse, manufacturing, or industrial work environments.
Multi-state payroll or benefit administration experience.
Comfortable working in both office and warehouse settings.
Desire to grow into a leadership-level HR role over time.
