Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift
Location: Ontario, CA (on-site)
Pay: $29–$35/hr DOE, plus $1/hr second-shift differential (non-exempt)
Reports to: Maintenance Manager

Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician installs, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains production and facility equipment on second shift. You'll work within established safety, predictive, and preventive maintenance processes, and your work directly supports production uptime and site goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and maintain production machines and plant facility equipment
• Handle emergency and unscheduled repairs during production runs, and perform scheduled maintenance during machine service windows
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders
• Perform basic machinist duties, plus general plumbing and carpentry tasks
• Use hand and power tools, electrical meters, and material handling equipment
• Identify faulty operations or defective materials and report issues to supervision
• Follow all safety regulations and keep work areas clean and organized

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 4+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• Associate's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance, a completed craft apprenticeship, or equivalent combined education and hands-on experience
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Clear communicator who takes initiative and works well independently on shift
• Available to work second shift, fully on-site

Physical Requirements & Work Environment
This is a very active, hands-on role. It requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the shift. You must be able to lift and move items over 75 lbs. The work environment includes moving mechanical parts, vibration, airborne particles, and elevated noise levels.
