About the opportunity

Ignite Human Capital is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a leading clinical and commercial biologics Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO). This organization is committed to developing and manufacturing life-saving biopharmaceuticals, working closely with clients to advance therapies that improve patient outcomes. With a strong operational foundation and a people-first culture, this company is scaling rapidly and investing in its HR function to match its growth.

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Senior HR Business Partner to serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership — driving people strategies that align with business objectives and cultivate a high-performance, inclusive culture.

What you'll do

  • Partner with senior leadership to design and implement HR strategies that support business growth and transformation.
  • Identify and close organizational competency gaps through strategic workforce planning.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to execute talent management, succession planning, and employee development initiatives.
  • Lead complex employee relations matters, including investigations and resolution, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws.
  • Manage organizational change by influencing senior stakeholders through data-driven recommendations and strategic advocacy.
  • Champion a positive employee experience across the full employee lifecycle.
  • Support scale-up efforts with a focus on team alignment and cultural cohesion.
  • Drive annual HR processes including goal setting, performance management, compensation planning, and talent reviews.
  • Provide coaching and consultation to managers and senior leaders on people-related matters.
  • Analyze HR metrics to assess effectiveness and recommend continuous improvements.

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 6+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in an HRBP role.
  • Minimum 3 years supporting senior leaders in fast-paced, startup-like environments — biotech or healthcare experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven success driving employee engagement and fostering inclusive, high-performing cultures.
  • Strong facilitation and communication skills across diverse teams and cultures.
  • Deep understanding of U.S. labor laws and multi-state compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity and lead with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel skills preferred.

Who you are

  • A true team player with an unshakable positive attitude — you lean into challenges rather than away from them.
  • An exceptional communicator, both written and verbal, who brings clarity and confidence to every interaction.
  • A relationship builder who can connect meaningfully with anyone — leaders, peers, or frontline staff.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities without missing a beat.
