Hourly pay range: $50 –$70/ Hour DOE
About the Role
A law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Real Estate Paralegal to join its Los Angeles office. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work closely with attorneys on complex commercial real estate matters, playing a key part in transaction support, due diligence, and document management. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment and can operate with a high degree of independence.
What You'll Do
- Support real estate transactions by conducting thorough due diligence
- Order, review, and interpret title commitments, recorded documents, and property surveys
- Build and maintain closing checklists, tracking progress through each stage of a transaction
- Draft, coordinate, and manage the execution and delivery of transaction documents to counsel, lenders, government agencies, and vendors
- Assist in preparing tax-related filings and applications, liaising with clients to gather necessary documentation
- Draft petitions related to tax consolidations and property divisions
- Review, summarize, and draft commercial leases and lease amendments
- Organize and maintain data rooms and case files with a high level of accuracy
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of paralegal experience specifically in real estate law
- Strong command of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Deep familiarity with commercial lease structures and terminology
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple matters simultaneously
- Sound independent judgment and the ability to anticipate attorney and client needs
- Comfort mentoring junior paralegals and case assistants
- Working knowledge of how various practice groups intersect and depend on one another
Education & Certification
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certificate preferred
