Location: Southern California (San Diego, Orange County, or Los Angeles)
Compensation: $175,000 – $225,000 base, DOE

We are working with a growing global medical device organization to find a Strategic HR Business Partner who thrives on change. This company is committed to being ahead of the curve, especially in how it adopts AI and evolves the way work gets done. They're looking for an HR leader who can do more than support the business. They want someone who can help lead it forward.
This is not a traditional HRBP role. The right person will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, drive organizational change at scale, and bring fresh thinking to how people, processes, and technology come together.
What You'll Do
- Partner with senior business leaders as a strategic advisor on organizational design, talent, workforce planning, and culture
- Lead and champion change initiatives across a global, matrixed organization, including the people side of AI adoption
- Translate business strategy into people strategy that drives measurable results
- Shape leadership development, capability building, and upskilling efforts as the organization evolves
- Coach leaders through transformation, growth, and complex employee relations matters
- Use data and insights to inform decisions and influence at the executive level
- Bring an innovative, forward-thinking mindset to how HR operates and delivers value

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Psychology, or a related field
- 8+ years of progressive HR experience, with recent experience at the Sr. Manager or Director level (or equivalent) in a strategic HRBP role
- Genuine enthusiasm for AI and emerging technology, and the ability to help others embrace it
- Experience supporting senior leaders in a large, complex, enterprise-scale organization
- A proven track record leading change through change management, organizational development, or learning and development, OR experience leading change or transformation work at a major consulting firm
- Demonstrated comfort with AI and emerging technology, with experience helping teams adopt new tools and ways of working
- Strong executive presence and the ability to influence, challenge, and build trust at the senior leadership level
- Ability to work in Southern California (San Diego, Orange County, or Los Angeles)
Preferred Qualifications
- Medical device, life sciences, or other highly regulated industry experience
- Experience in a global or matrixed organization
- Advanced degree (MBA, MS in HR or Organizational Development) or HR certification (SHRM-SCP, SPHR)
- Formal change management certification (Prosci or similar)
